Josep M. Aragonés, post-production professional with more than 45 years in the business, was named Patron of Honour of the Aula Film Foundation – Josep M. Queraltó Collection last 26 March 2015 in a ceremony held at the new headquarters of the Col·legi Oficial d’Òptics d’Optometristes de Catalunya (COOOC) in Barcelona.
President of the Foundation, J.M. Queraltó, presented Aragonés with a certificate of accreditation as Patron of Honour before a large crowd that included D.o.P. Tomàs Pladevall, also a Patron of Honour of the Foundation. In addition to their friendship and a longstanding professional relationship, Aragonés and Queraltó are united by a deep love for the technical side of cinema. Digital and 3D cinema are among their most passionate interests and they have had many a long discussion on these topics over the years.
Following this act, Josep M. Queraltó presented the Col·legi Oficial d’Óptics with an antique optical device for testing sight from his collection of more than 20,000 items of cinema and audiovisual material, which was gratefully accepted by the president Alfons Bielsa and board member Francesc Campos.
